GM Donates Money, Vehicles To Aid In Superstorm Sandy Relief Efforts

The lights are turning back on all over the east coast, but cleaning up is far, far from over. So it’s good to know that companies are pitching in to do their part in returning things back to as close to normal as they can be. In GM’s case, it has donated $250,000 via the GM Foundation, along with 50 Chevrolet utility vehicles (because as much as they are championed, something tells us the Cruze and Sonic weren’t up for the task). These vehicles are a medley of Express cargo vans, Traverse crossovers, and Tahoe SUVs — all of which are going to the American Red Cross.

Of course, we can all do our part to help as well. Anyone interested in providing support to hurricane victims are encouraged to visit www.redcross.org or can call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to make a donation.

  2. Happy to see no one has complained that the money should have gone to pay off the loan from the government. Many thanks to the General for helping out.
