GM Commemorates Veterans Day By Expanding Military Discount

To all those who served time in America’s armed forces, happy Veterans Day. And those vets who are in the market for a new car can take advantage of GM’s military discount, which has been broadened to include veterans within a year after discharge. The new discount is effective immediately, and applies to reservists, retired service members and their spouses, and even those in active duty.

The discount applies to Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles and veterans need to show a copy of their DD214 (discharge papers) to a participating dealer. All branches of the U.S. armed services are eligible and the discount can also be combined with other incentives including GM Card points, with specific discount details available at the GM Military Discount website.

The announcement was made during Friday’s UAW Local 160 Veterans Committee and GM Veterans Affinity Group ceremonies at the GM Technical Center in Warren, Michigan.
