Community Question: What Are Your Favorite Driving Songs?

Consistently we find ourselves stuck in traffic, delaying our commute to wherever it is we’re going. Or perhaps we’re behind an obnoxiously slow driver, or a long drive to visit friends and relatives. Whatever the situation is, we want to know what music makes your drive more enjoyable?
Or perhaps you don’t listen to music at all, and resort to talk radio and audio books to pass the time. Maybe you’re even the type to learn a new language on your drive. Either way, let us know in the comment section below. Some of us may have the same tastes and we may not even know it!

R.E.M. or Radiohead, my cup of tea,
“Roar”, by LS1 5.7 V8 WS6.
I tend to like instrumentals…they make the perfect theme music. Sometimes I’ll go for either “Summer” or “Winter” by Vivaldi. At other times I will draw for “Arrival To Earth” by Steve Jablonsky (Transformers theme); or perhaps Chris Botti’s version of “Hallelujah”; or even Chris Standring’s Bossa Blue. Check out Youtube for these if you’re interested.
either we are young or some nights by FUN
Cowboys from Hell – Pantera
midnight rider by almound bothers
I can see this playing on a very long and straight stretch of road with nothing but horizon before you, tumble weeds and cacti to the side. In other words…Americana.
“Born to be Wild” – Steppenwolf. It reminds me of the good old days, the ’60’s – when you could be wild and enjoy it!
I may have been born in the 70s…but I am a child of the 60s at heart. Good choice.
Pretty much anything from AC/DC, especially the stuff from the Bon Scott era.
Born to Run
Springsteen
Cranked up LOUD!!!!
LS7 with cam, headers (no cats), and Corsa exhaust! That’s the best song ever played! And I never get tired of it!
Some good house music comes to mind right now.
I can’t drive 55- Hagar
Hot for Teacher by Van Halen. The drum intro reminds me of a V-8 waiting to launch and the groove is killer.
Also, the article reminded me of this…
