Cadillac ATS Takes Home ‘Car Of The Year’ Honors From Motor Press Guild

The Cadillac ATS has already managed to win Car of the Year accolades from Popular Mechanics, but things haven’t stopped there. Most recently, the sexy sport sedan was named the 2013 Car of the Year by the Motor Press Guild, North America’s largest automotive media association. And while legions of auto critics consist mostly of aging Frank Bacon types that are mostly in this business for the free airfare and martinis, the ATS has already developed the reputation as exceptional. So it comes as no surprise that the vital vehicle takes home such honors.

A press conference to present the award will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 during the Los Angeles Auto Show press days.

  3. I’m glad they didn’t lose their minds like Motor Trend, picking some conventional electric car with an extremely ugly interior, a front fascia that was stolen from a Fusion that was stolen from an Astin Maston, and an impractical battery pack that will break in a minor fender-bender.

  4. It also one esquires car of the year as well….this car deserves praise because it is a stunning car inside and out……if the Tesla model S didn’t go on sale this year….I am sure the Cadillac would have won motor trends COTY as well…

    1. It is very nice…don’t like the pleather seating and it lacks quite a bit of the standards that a Cadillac ought to have.l

  5. If you haven’t seen it in person, do it. The interior is impressive. Especially the center stack. Notw all Caddie has to do is change attidudes. Probably the biggest task they face against BMW.

  7. I test drove it yesterday. Nice, but they don’t have it quite right yet IMO. Dash needs work. They need a coupe and convertible as well.
