Buried in one of the many press releases issued by Chevrolet during last week’s SEMA show was a gem that was overlooked by most of the automotive media at large. It is the news that Chevy will continue to offer COPO Camaros through the 2013 calender year.
While 69 COPO Camaros were built in 2012, it is reported that there are still another 3,000 interested buyers out there, whether they will use the car for NHRA-sanctioned drag racing or not. So for 2013, it is expected that another 69 will be produced. That will certainly leave potential customers thirsty, but those who want it most can head over to www.chevroletperformance.com to sign up for COPO Camaro updates through the Fuel online newsletter.

One of these amazing productions will be auctioned at Mecum Auction on November 16, 2012, in Anaheim, CA., at the Anaheim Convention Center.
I wouldn’t miss a chance to purchase such an iconic car that probably has one of the most important heritage of all American muscle cars.
