Spied: The 2014/2015 Cadillac Escalade

The current Cadillac Escalade has been a money machine for GM, but it’s definitely shown its age over the last year or two. Luckily, Cadillac’s next big thing is around the corner, and it’s looking to retake the undisputed luxury SUV crown.

It’s hard to tell what’s under all of that black masking, but it’s pretty clear that the Wreath and Crest isn’t ditching the massive grille look. We also see plenty of LEDs adorning the front fascia on this new Escalade, along with the tail lamps in the back. The mirrors looks significantly more aerodynamic this time around, and engineers did a better job at tucking in the K2XX frame under the new ‘Slade’s body than they did with the outgoing GMT900 model.

As for the interior, that remains a visual mystery to all of us on the outside of the development team. At the very least we can expect CUE — perhaps even an updated version than what we see today. And judging by what we’ve seen in the ATS and XTS, Cadillac will up the ante on the fit and finish through the entire cabin, as well.

We’ve heard that the next generation Cadillac Escalade will launch in the time frame of anywhere between late 2013 to late 2014. Either way, for a full gallery, warp to Autoblog.

    1. Done on purpose, it is, after all, a camouflaged vehicle.

  2. Looks like some big wheels. I can’t tell much otherwise, but my gut says not to expect big changes.

  3. Is it me, there just doesn’t seem to be much to talk about with these new bodies (Granted they are heavily claded). Like when I look at the Toyota Tundra I am like Wow that is taking toyotas trucks design language to the next level. When I look at these I am like yep it’s a Chevy truck, but it could have been a Chevy design 8 or 12 years ago. It’s heavily boxy; even the what they are claiming is an Escalade is shockingly Boxy from what I see here. Am I the only one who thinks this…

  4. The Range Rover is boxy too. Toyota Doesn’t update their trucks as often as GM does (the currentTundra came out in 2006) so that might be why you think their designs are such a step forward. The Escalade can’t change that much because it is so well regarded and GM doesn’t want to mess with that formula. From these pics tho we can see they Forsure upped the bling… I like. It still resembles the Tahoe a lot though. I’ll wait till the full reveal to fully judge that. Man those are big rims. Gotta be 23’s. I like how this looks like it can at least somewhat go off-road with some decent ground clearence. If they offered a terrain management like Land Rover and the grand Cherokee do, this would be pretty much complete. I doubt it though. I do hope to at least see it on the Tahoe Z71 though

  5. I have a feeling that it will share features with the XTS, considering they will be livery partners.
