The folks over at Chevy have given what is an otherwise cute and lovable Spark city car an ominous appearance with the Spark Sinister concept. As you might have noticed, the SEMA-exclusive car’s black theme and aggressive motif looks at ease in the shadows of a city’s industrial district.
Unique features include:
- Dramatic body work with bold rocker fairings, a rear diffuser with dual exhaust outlets, rear wing spoiler and a front fascia with large air intakes
- Prominent fender flares to cover large, 18×6-inch split-spoke wheels (in Bahia Red) and low-profile performance tires: 205/40ZR18 (front) and 225/40ZR18 (rear)
- Lowered ride height
- Carbon Flash Metallic exterior with Bahia Red accents and matte-black graphics
We have to note that the the dual exhaust and various accents seem right at home in this Spark. But we would have also blacked out (or perhaps painted red) the gold Chevy Bow Tie that seems a bit too format for the occasion… and don’t even get us started on the 1.2 liter 82 horsepower Ecotec, which prevents this concept’s performance from matching its looks.

Looking at the pics trying to see if there is a minature MrT in the drivers seat. Shades of the A-Teams 83 GMC Vandura van, shrunk and modernized.
Love the look but again it’s a shame about the disappointing standard power figures. A twin turbo and big brake package should have been applied.
Ha so true, looks great except I can’t stand oversized tail fins… A little to much fin…
I really like the Sonic, but enough with all the cosmetic packages. Put the 2.0T in it already.
Kinsley — I’d much rather see the new 1.6T in a performance variant of the Sonic. It’s the perfect engine from a size and power perspective for the car.
That would also be great! I love my Camaro, but would be genuinely and equally excited to move into a GM “hot hatch”.
I wish my 2013 rs came with the aforementioned 2 liter, but the e3.64 plugs and k&n airfilter helped noticeably. The bullydog 40415 programmer should bring me close to 180 hp with the said mods, but 200 is where the car should have been in rs trim.
Is this sinster bodykit up for sale yet and how much
