Holden Reveals 435 Horsepower 25th Anniversary GTS

The Holden HSV division continues a special edition roll-out, and the GTS seems to be the meanest one so far.

The special edition model does indeed share the same 435-horsepower LS3 found in the standard GTS, but because it’s an anniversary package, adds 20-inch forged alloy wheels with a satin graphite finish. Also, the 25th Anniversary GTS also dons a pair of ‘Vector’ hood scoops and side vents for some enhanced respiration and mean looks.

Also found in the GTS is the magnificent magnetic ride control suspension, a satellite navigation system, Bluetooth, blind-spot monitoring, and dual-mode exhaust. Best of all, the GTS also comes with an Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI) system.

Something we don’t get here in the ‘Mericas, EDI is an awesome digital performance data recorder that provides the driver with information on lap times, G-forces, power and torque.

For those who want to avoid gasoline, the GTS offers a Liquid Propane Injection bi-fuel package, and the ECU can switch seamlessly between propane and gasoline, which predictably goes all-gas at full-throttle.

For the sake of exclusivity, production has been limited to 140 vehicles, with125 being sold in Australia, and 15 in New Zealand. No word on pricing just yet.

  1. Why aren’t we selling this in the states? I would imagine this would be very successful here.

    1. They did, it was called a Pontiac G8 and it was fantastic. Then, the overpaid directors at GM killed the brand- but kept GMC! Then they went bankrupt. At least some of those no-talents (Rick Wagoner + others) lost their jobs thank God.

  3. The Chevy ss will look more tame, but hopefully not dull. What I really wonder though is the power train. Next Gen v8? 8-speed auto? I sure hope so. 🙂

  5. G8 GXP has hsv parts without having to pay hsv for the use of their stying, with the higher price hsv charge they can use the more expensive gm components.
one G8 owner paid close to 5k just for the rear bumper and LED tails, shipping was the killer.
