The all-new 2014 Chevy Impala can be seen at the State Fair of Texas, which takes place September 28 through October 21. So if you’re a Texan or are planning on attending the festivities of the The Red River Rivalry, and haven’t had a chance to see the new Impala in person — be there, or be square… because, well, just look at that body.
The completely new Super Epsilon-based Impala commenced pre-production manufacturing at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant in the beginning of September, with GM’s Oshawa, Ontario plant also performing pre-production builds of the vehicle. The 2014 Impala is due to go on sale in 2013.

Let’s not forget about Oshawa and its pre-production work on the new Impala !
Mike — I updated the article to reflect that. Thanks!
That’s a mighty fine piece of work there very hot looking car. Now please make an SS version. Or give the option to tone down the chrome a bit.
Hum fully loaded Impala or an ATS? I’m glad I’m not in the position to make that kind of decision. yet……
That’s a sharp-looking car, although, the front end reminds me a bit of the Taurus.
If only the Malibu wore a similar face.
Malibu looks like a 5 year old Subaru.
It looks GREAT in person, the ‘Boo looks pretty good with its 1972 Impala split grille. The front reminds me of an 1982 Impala, which is great. It has a lot of Impala DNA in it. Body sculpting and “brightwork” (we used to call this chrome) makes it look “classy.” Car looks expensive. Makes the Taurus look fat from the side; sculpting makes it sleek. Can’t make an SS version with FWD, it will tear up the trans and the torque steer will land you in a ditch.
They made a Cobalt SS and it held a Nurburgring record for FWD cars.
Can’t say it can’t be done.
