As the countdown towards the official unveiling of the 2014 Corvette C7 commences, Chevrolet continues to fuel the flames of hype and anticipation by trickling out a new teaser photo of the next-generation, 2014 Silverado pickup truck.
Just slightly different from an artist’s rendering, we appear to be looking at what is part of the front fascia, featuring the upper section of a dual-port grille and passenger-side upper head lamp. We wonder if the outer ring in the lamp design will illuminate halo-style, like the Chevrolet Camaro. And if it did, would you enjoy it? Or would you find it tacky?

It looks great! And it’s about time General Motors offered projection headlamps across its full-sized truck lineup.
Just waiting for the legions of fans to say it must have LEDs and HID because it costs more than $40k.
FWIW, I’m guessing the pic is the top of the line truck. The Work truck will likely have generic gray plastic and rectangular headlights.
Fender and hood line don’t match. Or is that just an optical illusion. +25mpg and I am making it my commuter. I currently commute in a bmw 330_28mpg of premium.
You can’t see much but you can definitely see how well it is put together and all the small details this small picture can hold. Quality, GM, this is good.
(By the way, it appears that there isn’t a problem between the hood and fender, but the chrome is pushed in to prevent the hood from hitting it, so it looks like it is making a shadow. I see what you mean when you say it is an optical illusion.)
I can’t wait to see the rest of it.
I have to agree, they don’t look like they match. The hood extends onto the grill further. Maybe it’s supposed to do that? But then again, this is a pre-production model.
This is suppose to be like that, since there are tighter gaps throught out the truck, they can’t make the gap between grille and hood really tight cause it’ll damage the grille every time you shut the hood. If you look closely, you’ll find this on lots of other cars.
Looks very good. Gm is back on track again
