Later this month, General Motors Brazil will be introducing the all-new Chevrolet Onix at the 27th São Paulo International Automobile Trade Show, but it appears to surprise has been spoiled by AutosSegredos. The photos the publication came across may not be of the highest quality, but we can certainly make out an all-new hatchback for the South American market.
When the official details emerge, expect them to say that the Onix rides on GM’s Gamma II Global Small Vehicle platform shared with the Chevrolet Spark and Sonic, and soon-to-be 2013 Chevrolet Trax global small crossover. The Onix will also help Chevrolet introduce its MyLink infotainment system to the market and it will also be one of the few cars in its class to offer a six-speed automatic transmission.
What do we make of its looks? Sound off in the comment section below!

I think it looks better than the Spark……
Wow… Way better than son-ark… Another home run from south of the border…
GM should take a idea from the Ford game plan. The Onix is a great looking vehicle, the Spark I have to say is homely. Chevy has way too many models, the Onix would be some serious competition for the Fiesta. Onix has that European look that has done well for Ford. Spark reminds me of the Japanese Anime cars, cute but not really thought thru for global sales. As I have mentioned before we own both GM and Ford vehicles so I do have positive vibes for both, don’t label me a GM basher. I like the Sonic, and I feel the Buick Encore will sell well. The Encore will be the reason we see Ford’s Eco-Sport make it stateside.
