This week’s Facebook Friday is a mixed bag of praise, complaining, and wishful thinking for new models. Some like the looks of the C7 (even though it hasn’t not out yet) while others want to see a two-door Yukon, the Cruze hatch in the U.S. and a Cruze coupe SS. And how can we ever go without a plea for a new El Camino? And while that’s all fun and dandy, we’re a bit concerned about some of the complaints posted to the various GM Facebook pages. Here goes:
hi Chevy I love the looks of the Corvette C7
Three weeks ago I paid for the new Spark in Mexico City (Chevrolet Zaragoza), the seller asked me for a deposit of $10,000 and another of $60,696. I made all the payments that she asked me to do but the day that I supposed to receive the car she vanished. The agency doesn´t know where she is and she has all the original documents of this acquisition, I only have copies. Then I talked with the manager but he argued he doesn´t know what to do in this situation and I have to wait if she returns.
I need the car! Or the money! Please help me, I work in the hotel industry and my Schedule is really difficult, there is not public transport in Mexico at 1 am of the morning. The manager is useless! He has to be responsible for the employees, I know that my car is at the agency right now, my information is in the system, and I signed the contract the last September the 5th. Now I have to pay for the insurance the next week when I don´t even have the car! The worst part is that the agency has my legal documents, and nobody knows what the seller is doing with my ID and my accounting information. Please help me! I already went to the police but I still don’t seeing results!
HEy I was wondering something, well my dad wanted to know, are you gonna sell the Chevy Cruze in the Hatchback or Station Wagon version in north america, he like the model and would like to buy it, and got to say he’s right for once, the Station Wagon version is really great.
Chevrolet needs something to compete with the Ford Raptor and the Dodge Runner.
If you buy a new car off the lot and it already has a few miles on it should not the warranty start with the mile that you buy it with ? meaning if it have 100 miles on should not the 36k warranty go until 36,100 miles ?
when are you going to make a Cruze Coupe SS? *patiently waiting…*
Come on Chevrolet, Please build the Code 130R!
2012 el camaro I better see yal selling that if not Ill come up there and make yal make one specially for me I swear
when is the camaro coming to india ?????
MY GMC ACADIA HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS WAY TO MANY TIMES AND CHRISTIAN SWANSON WILL NOT RETURN MY PHONE CALLS. I THOUGHT GMC MADE A GOOD PRODUCT AND WAS CONCERNED WITH HAPPY CUSTOMERS. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED.
Really enjoyed my GMC Terrain until it started having really bad problems upon start and idle. If the car sat for a few days there would be this REALLY loud rattle on start-up that would go away after a second. And now it idles EXTREMELY loud, as if metal is vibrating/rattling against something. Of course the Dealership tried telling me they couldnt reproduce the start-up issue and that the loud idle “was to be expected, that’s just what happens when the engine breaks in”. Really?! That’s what I get for buying American.
where is the 2 door 1994 gmc yukon 2012 edition?… 2013 ?? 14??
come back HUMMER !
I think General Motors should bring back the Chevy Astro and its GMC counterpart. They were the only true Mini-Van that had the room as a real van has, and it did not feel like a station wagon.
Comments
Bring back the Astro Van, already…. 🙂
GM could build a new Astro van off the upcoming Colorado chasis.
I owned two Astros and really liked them both. They were great TRUE small vans, not typical mini vans.
I have to agree with the two others above, one of GM’s biggest mistakes was dropping the Astro/Safari. We ran GMC Safaris for nearly 20 years (owned many) and I regretted letting my ’04 model getting away from me. Bring back the Astro/Safari. And GM, Ford, and Chrysler … bring back a real stationwagon, not another Crossover or SUV
I couldn’t agree more. GM really blew it when they discontinued the Astro/Safari vans. It has to go down as one of the most catastrophic mistakes in automotive history. They don’t seem to have any concept of how truly unique and practical these vans are, or how much they are adored by their past and present owners. Basically, you’ve got a van body on an all-wheel-drive truck chassis, unlike all those one-piece gay minivans. I figured out why the Caravan sold so well. It’s because MOST people who finally decided to GET a minivan in the first place, were stepping up from CARS, so for them, it was like, “oh, I want a van that’s still kind of like a car”, so voila, the Caravans (and others) were the perfect solution. But for those of us who are used to driving full size vans and pickup trucks all our lives, we don’t want to step down to a “car-ish” type of van. We still want a damn truck, but with a van body. The Astro/Safari is the obvious, and only, choice. I can’t understand why GM couldn’t see how important this is. Those bean counters in Flint must be majorly detached from reality. All they could see was that the Caravans were outselling the Astro/Safaris by a 4 to 1 ratio or something like that, so to them, that spelt “failure”. But it’s NOT a failure, because Astro/Safaris cater to a very specific market of highly discerning buyers…. people who know exactly what they want, and who are not content to join all the soccer moms and become part of the Caravan masses. We don’t WANT Caravans. We will remain fiercely loyal to the Astro/Safari, because it’s a one-of-a-kind vehicle., and one of the GREATEST VEHICLES EVER BUILT. There is NOTHING ELSE LIKE IT. DO YOU HEAR ME GM???? They absolutely have to bring this vehicle back on the market. Tomorrow I’m replacing my ’96 Safari AWD with a 2005 Safari AWD which I found with only 70,000 miles on it. I’ll keep them both, and this way, I’ll have an Astro/Safari for as long as I want until those meatheads at GM figure out that they created a gigantic HOLE in the market with their dumb-ass decision to discontinue that line of vehicles. FOOLS!!
