1,226 Horsepower Hennessey VR1200 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Goes For A High-Speed Run (Video)

When in possession of a car that features 1,226 horsepower, it’s a puzzle as to where to unleash all of those ponies. Naturally, the best way to test such a vehicle is on a long, straight runway. At one point we could swear the Hennessey VR1200 CTS-V Coupe was going to take off into the sky. It sounds like a freakin’ turbo prop just idling, and with a view of nothing but the surroundings accelerating by (like a window seat), it didn’t feel like the camera was strapped to a car at all.

Oh, and the hyper-Cadillac was only set to 800 horsepower, the VR1200’s weakest setting. If only there was more to see in the video than just the rear license plate and the landing strip, or if we knew the top speed. Hopefully there’s more to come. And if you want to see how the vehicle fares on the dyno, watch this video.

    1. No, this is the lower power setting… This is merely ridiculous.

The 1200+ HP setting will be ludicrous.
