GM Recalls 38,000 Chevrolet Impala Police Vehicles

Police precincts across the United States and Canada are having their 2008-2012 Chevrolet Impala police cars recalled due to front suspension issues. This is also the first we’ve heard that Canadian police actually use police cars instead of dog sleds, or horses.
The total number of vehicles affected tallies at over 38,000, with specifics being that the lower control arm in the suspension can suddenly fracture, which can cause a loss of control, according to the NHTSA. As for John Q. Public and his civilian Chevy Impala, the recall will not involve them, as GM claims that those vehicles feature different suspension components.

Has this come down to ridiculing our Canadian brethren
THis is not nice for our Police. I cancell my suscription to your daily news. I don’t this king of comments about Canadian Citizens.
Fire Manoli for that offensive comment.
Don’t be mad at Manoli he probably didn’t know that Canadians have computers.
We Canucks have become immune to the lack of knowledge of SOME of our southern neighbours. FYI – the Crown Vic cruisers driven by the majority of your crime-fighters were built in Ford’s St. Thomas Assembly Plant here in Southern Ontario until it was closed last year with the demise of the Crown Vic.
We did skid them to the border using our dog teams in the winter …. LMAO
We switched to snowmobiles years ago. 🙂
But seriously, there’s way more to Canada than snow. Come up someday for a visit. You wont be disappointed.
Some Americans have a fear of traveling abroad. They don’t know if you speak English or if the water is safe to drink Will there be terrorist attacks. You could allay a lot of these problems if you change your name from Canada to America Light.
Funny, but years ago I sold a sun lamp to a woman in Texas. She was worried that it wouldn’t work in the USA because the electricity was different in Canada.
The world would be a better place if we just took a little time to get to know each other.
In all seriousness I can pretty much throw a rock to Canada from where I live. And I’ve been there many times, though I detest going through customs. London, Windsor, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal…. just don’t remember ever seeing any Impalas 😉
And I don’t like your hockey teams. There, I said it.
Also, Trailer Park Boys is a show I wish aired in America.
