The Chevrolet Volt’s former vehicle line director from 2006 to July 2012, Tony Posawatz certainly didn’t have a long retirement. Far from, as he has been officially announced as Fisker Automotive’s new chief executive officer in a press release issued by the young automaker. For thos that don’t know, Fisker currently sells the Karma luxury extended range electric vehicle, with plans to launch other electric cars in the future. Considering the merit of overseeing the Volt’s development from start to finish, and directing a successful launch, Posawatz certainly has all the right merits.
Still, he has a lot of work to do. With the PR nightmare of the second reported Karma fire happening just days ago, and the launch of the upcoming Atlantic by 2013, Posawatz will have to straighten the company’s flight path rather quickly in order to succeed as he did with the Volt.

Fisker needs all the help it can get
Wow….
From Vehicle Line Director to CEO is quite a bump. Not surprised.
