Five Chevrolets will make their Russian and European debuts at the Moscow International Motor Show that opens to the public on August 29.
The Colorado pickup, new TrailBlazer, and Cobalt compact car will all make their European debuts at the show, while the Cruze Wagon and Malibu will make their Russian debuts. In other words, all five of those models will make their way to Russia.
Perhaps most interesting is the announcement of the Cobalt small car, which until now has only been available in specific markets in South America. However, the debut of the vehicle affirms our suspicion that the Cobalt is meant for developing markets around the world, likely including the BRIC countries.
In addition, the Bow Tie brand will debut its new infotainment system, Chevy MyLink, to Russian customers for the first time at the show. We wonder, however, if the MyLink functionality will be available in the Russian language. We’ve sent a note to our contacts at GM Russia for confirmation and will update this article as soon as we find out more.

Russia gets the Cruze wagon? That’s just Un-American! Russia didn’t help with the bail-out, America did. We get nothing but 2 year waits for the next version of everything.
Not to worry, Ford is also offering its Focus Wagon in Europe, Russia, and the CIS… but not in the U.S. It’s the Cruze hatch I’m concerned about more so than the wagon.
Bet Russia gets the Hatch,too.
Exactly! What I’m saying is why the hatch isn’t here even though Ford, VW, Kia, and Hyundai each have one!
A Cruze hatch would hurt Equinox sales. I thought you knew this.
With the price of gas, GM is always lagging behind and leaves us little choice but full size trucks and SUV’s. No car based wagons or hatches (unless you buy a Caddy. People who don’t worry about gas prices) Even the Equinox is not that great around town mileage wise. Disgusted with the whole lack of selection!
Funny that a post about a fair in Moscow is accompanied by a photo showing the Rhine river and the Cologne cathedral…
@Observer7 Ironic indeed. That’s one of the first images we had of the Cruze wagon, and have since changed it. Hope you like the new one!
I liked the other image more. It’s a pity that you have exchanged it.
