Does This Design Study Give Hint At A Possible Cadillac ATS Hatchback?

During a Cadillac ATS media event, a peculiar clay model sat on a pedestal in the open. Of course, it didn’t take long for the hungry media to speculate as to what it was. A five-door hatchback by design, there’s no doubt this design study influenced the angles and lines of the American BMW 3-Series fighter.
Could this model hint at the future ideas that the luxury brand is dancing around with? An ATS hatch, perhaps? Or even something more compact like the BMW 1 Series and Audi A3? That would be something. Respond with your reactions in the comment section below to take the discussion further.

Guys this looks like a student model, GM works with design schools all the time to pull creative concepts. This looks like a student model for one of those collaborations… A nice student model none the less. Wouldn’t take to much from this though…
Can’t say I like it too much….just prototype so maybe something great will happen later…..sure hope a nice coupe shows up soon….I believe it would do very, very well…..
I generally love Cadillac’s style, but no. this is just ugly.
I agree. This model isn’t attractive at all.
I like This design!
I think it looks great for a hatch
This is a four-door hatch….don’t care that much about this design really…looks very euro. I would never buy it. ATS is much nicer looking
The irony is, the article is next to the Cruze , which Isn’t available in a HATCH.
I like it! It’s a good looking design, and certainly not as “tame” as the ATS design (which is too conservative, based on the cars I’ve seen in-person on the road here). I’m sure the ATS is a great car, but it’s design is not a “breakthrough” like the 2008 CTS was (which still looks much better than the ATS).
It needs a little work. Make it a station wagon not a hatchback get rid of the rear doors. And call it a Chevy nomad.
