Akerson To Auction Off Personal 1958 Corvette For Charity

Back in February of this year, General Motors CEO Dan Akerson and his wife donated $1 million to Habitat for Humanity Detroit in order to help rebuild houses around Detroit’s East Side. Keeping in good spirits with the charity, Akerson will be putting his own 1958 Chevrolet Corvette up for auction, will all proceeds going towards Habitat for Humanity Detroit once again.

For those who want to see the 1958 Regal Turquoise Corvette with its 245 horsepower 4.6L V8 engine up close, it will be on display today and tomorrow under the Chevrolet tent at the Birmingham Triangle during this weekend’s Woodward Dream Cruise. Auction details are to be announced.
