Before GMC began offering front-wheel-drive based crossovers for softies, it once sold the rugged body-on-frame Jimmy SUV. But all through our years of watching cartoons as kids during the 1990s, we cannot recall watching the GMC Jimmy taking a plunge off a train bridge with a bungee cord attached to the trailer hitch.
This particular GMC Jimmy predates 1994, as if the gritty camera quality and over-the-top electric guitar music in the ad didn’t give it away.
Taking an SUV bungee jumping is one way of demonstrating its integrity. But does it beat the stunts done by the Chevrolet Sonic? That’s up to you to decide.

I own a ’93 Jimmy. They’re tough little rigs. I’ve hauled things and taken it off road many times. It’s got almost 200,000 miles on it and it’s still tough as nails.
I miss my blazer :(… Traded in with 240,000 miles for HHR…
I think this speaks that both GM and Ford trucks should have a commercial like this for their current generation of trucks or next gen
That’s the New River Gorge Bridge in WV. Pretty bridge. We went a bit out of our way on a family trip just to see it.
