Poll: What Do You Think Of The 2014 Silverado So Far?
19Sponsored Links
So far, we’ve seen countless exterior spy shots of the upcoming K2XX-based 2014 Chevrolet Silverado while a new photo of the interior surfaced just earlier this week. Keeping in mind the fact that information about the next-generation full-size pickup truck line is limited, what do you think of the new Silverado from what we’ve seen so far? Vote in the poll and sound off in the comments below.

maybe a little bit of the interior improvement
I really hope this new model has available HIDs
one thing I really hope comes with this new model, is something to compete with the Raptor. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve seen quite a few Raptors. And even though they might not sell as well as the base models, they still make people want an F-150. Because their just plain cool. And trust me I’m not a ford fan. At all. It wouldn’t have to be an offroader, it could be an SS. Allit would have to be is super cool. The current gen doesn’t really have that (to me the HDs are awesome, but…..).
I totally agree that a Raptor competitor would be an excellent addition to the lineup (with hopefully better R&D than Ford and their broken frame rails). Something like the HD concept – http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/12/gmc-sierra-all-terrain-hd-concept-is-being-considered-for-produc/ would be great!
How about like this:

I hope it is more than what I have seen so far. The interior looks like an improvement, but the exterior doesn’t seem to be much different. I know that trucks generally can’t change a great deal, but a little refinement can go a long way. I would imagine more power and better fuel economy are in the picture. If not, it’s going to be a huge disappointment.
I’m guessing that the next gen models will have to be lighter and the V8 much more economical than the next unit. Can’t see the Camaro Lamda 3.6 V6 ring transformed into an ecoboost like halo product. And that has me concerned.
Roxky — why can’t you see the 3.6 LFX in a twin turbo setup?
Have a look:

the interior has to be stepped from model to model and what has been seen is a base model in very early preproduction stage, that being said the interiors will have the same improvement that the cars are seeing with even more content knowing the trucks are volume leaders hope this clears the interiors up. exterior is the same with a progession of design and more differances between the two brands there will be a design that most likely will be accepted by many. powertrains will also be class leading with 4 mode systems being the most efficient in the market of trucks. I think the looks are fantastic and the interiors will please many with caddy versions of the suv being great.
Jd how about the turbo 6?
I seriously cannot believe that this truck got the green light. I hate it even more than I hate the current one. Once upon a time the truck division was the only thing going well at GM. Now with this effort (or lack thereof) they seem to be lagging not only behind the rest of GM, but the rest of the market. I seriously hope what we are seeing are just drivetrain mules based on the current eye-sore and not any indication of what the new truck will look like. Wishful thinking, I know…
Whoops mistyped my name in earlier post. had forgotten about the Turbo engine v6. Just not a fan of that engine yet. But that could change
I like Roxky better 😉
Oh Alex……
if they build the gmc truck whit the front grill like the terrain this nice and y hope they dont do the mistake to look like the order vehicle they have on the market they need something different…..you no the wowww
Chevy has to hit one out of the park with this truck. Listen up GM. We need a Raptor fighter now, not in 2 or 3 years!
On the inside, the upcoming 2014 Silverado from Chevy Motors is expected to receive a new center stack that has a refined layout, and finish as compared to the present gen model.
How about a little more info about the 2014 Silverado and a little less talk of Chevy overseas. My hunting buddies and I have been waiting to see it without a cover inside and out and hear a release date that is close to legit. A couple got tired of waiting and bought the Ford eccoboost and Dodge Powerwagon. I am a bowtie man and am patiently waiting so throw a dog a bone please.
Big Pap — we report on information about future products (like the next-gen Silverado) as it becomes available… rather than pulling stuff out of our derrieres whenever we feel like it. Does that make sense?
