Usually when there’s talk of labor conflicts, it doesn’t involve Korea. But that doesn’t seem to be the case this time, as not only General Motors’ Korean operations face striking from plant workers, but the entire country’s automotive industry as well.
According to Reuters, GM Korea’s union leadership decided to idle work at several plants for six to eight hours this coming Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. As such, it would make GM Korea the first automaker in South Korea to launch a strike this year.

The union wants to end overnight work. I’ll bet there are plenty of guys in Germany and England that will work the night shift to build Chevrolets. For the European market.
That’s it?
What a bunch of wimps.
Industrial disputes are not unknown in Korea…and those guys get violent too!
There are probably many workers is Detroit who would work the first shift!
