Effective immediately, General Motors International Operations President Tim Lee will add the role of GM Vice President of Global Manufacturing to his list of duties. Lee will essentially absorb GM Head of Manufacturing Diana Tremblay’s position as she receives the new title GM North America Vice President, Manufacturing. Tremblay will report to Lee.
GM hopes that the executive shuffle will streamline its manufacturing operations, as Lee will now oversee production in 30 countries, while Tremblay can concentrate on North America, which looks to launch the latest generation of Chevrolet and GMC pickups next year.
