For those concerned about the lack of powertrain options in the Cadillac XTS, you now have the power of choice. According to this diagram circulating around the dealer network, the XTS seems bound for a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder engine implant, as an alternative to the 3.6L V6 engine currently found standard. However, we’ve found out that this option will apply to the Chinese market only, and will act as a replacement of the market’s exclusive SLS 2.oT model, which was launched over there for the sake of having a low-emission option.

A Cadillac XTS 2.0T would make little sense in North America. Such an engine is not as powerful as the 3.6L LFX V6 engine currently found in it, and chances are it won’t do much for fuel economy, either.

or it could be referring to the 2.0 TurboDiesel for Europe, described in another article on this site. The box after the 2.0T might be the Eco-D thing…
