GM Passes On Unveiling New Pickups During Upcoming Texas State Fair

With the launch of the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks happening between spring and fall of next year, all eyes are on General Motors as to when the company’s new pair of breadwinners will make their debut. And against much speculation that the time would be the 2012 Texas State Fair on September 28, The General has decided to pass on showing off their mysterious money-making machines, but its brands will still be present as sponsors.
According to Automotive News, the original plan was to in fact reveal the twin trucks at the event, but coordinators have come to decide against it, and are currently keeping things well under wraps until the revised day comes around.
So, we’re left to consider the possibility of November’s Los Angeles Auto Show. Or perhaps during a major sporting event, like what they’re doing for the Chevrolet SS.

Texas State Fair is Toyota/ Tundra territory isn’t it?
Could be everything is smaller in Texas.
We won’t see it til 2013.
LA is tempting since its such a populous state, but I’d guess they’ll see tge SS.
Look to Detroit to see these.
Detroit seems late for GM. It’s a 2014MY right? So it’ll be on dealer lots 2nd quarter of 2013. Unless GM is changing it’s ways and wants to keep unveiling hype close to the release date. Would be nice to have a change from the hurry up and wait attitude they have had in the past (Volt and Camaro most notable – and yea, Camaro was a well received concept, not unveiling, so I guess not GM’s fault for that)
I would say during the Super Bowl, but seeing as GM isn’t doing any advertising during the big game anymore (at least not for 2013), my guess would be Detroit or maybe LA, possibly Chicago as that was a truck show up until recently.
i not understain what you write sorry
