Holden Launches Accessory Range For New Colorado

When it comes to trucks, there are those who appreciate their pickups in stock form and others who prefer to customize the functionality, appearance, and everything in between. For the latter group of truck owners, Holden is launching a range of Genuine Accessories for the new Colorado pickup.

The accessories range includes 38 individual accessories as well as 4 genuine Holden Accessory packs that will be available from Holden dealers. These include such useful items as a snorkel for the 2.8 liter Duramax diesel, a steel bull bar, body-colored hard tonneau covers, allow sport and nudge bars, steel and aluminum trays, as well as a canopy with unique glass areas. In addition, the fully-integrated tow bar kit supports Colorado’s class-leading 3.5 ton (7,716 pound) towing capacity on the 2.8 D-Max.

For those who have had the unpleasant experience of buying an aftermarket accessory only to have it perform poorly should rest assured that “intensive development and rigorous testing ensured the accessories range met the highest levels of functionality, integration and safety,” according to Holden Accessories engineer Keegan Brown.

The four accessory packs to be available at Holden dealers are as follows:

Essentials Pack

  • Carpet or rubber floor mats
  • Headlamp protectors
  • Slimline weathershields
  • Bonnet protector (available late June)

Trade Pack

  • Tow bar kit
  • Nudge bar
  • Cargo liner

Predator Pack (Crew Cab only)

  • Nudge bar
  • Sports bar
  • 3-piece hard tonneau cover
  • Cargo liner
  • Rear parking sensors

Nullabor Pack

  • Tow bar kit
  • Steel bull bar (available late 2012) or nudge bar
  • Snorkel kit (2.8 litre models only)
  • Driving lamps
  • Cargo liner

Do you find anything missing from this list that you would like to be made available when the Chevy Colorado makes its U.S. debut in the next year and-a-half? Sound off in the comments.

  1. Sounds neat but what’s a nullabor ?

    1. Apparently, “The Nullarbor Plain is part of the area of flat, almost treeless, arid or semi-arid country of southern Australia, located on the Great Australian Bight coast with the Great Victoria Desert to its north”

  3. the bullbar in the nullabor pack is to save the truck if you hit a roo, on the highway it’s ok, lots of trucks travel between adelaide and perth, they may not stop but they will report your position, WA & SA have an area of 3.5 m km2 & only 800,000 live outside perth or adelaide cities, very few people live their so if you do have an issue and find yourself stuck off highway, removing a tyre and burning it each morning is in the survival plan, so tough accessories are a must have

  4. Wtf is with the damn pop up whenever I come to this website? It’s incredibly annoying and covers the article as I scroll down.

    1. Ryan, we don’t do pop-ups, so I’m rather interested in what you’re referring to. Any way you could shoot me an email with a screen shot? Alex at gmauthority dot com
