Chevrolet-Powered IndyCars Finish Behind Honda In 2012 Detroit Belle Isle Qualifying

As the official press conference is happening, we thought we’d take a minute to update you on how IndyCar qualifying went early this afternoon during 2012 Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. And it’s Honda sitting on top of pole position, albeit by .0044 of a second with a best lap time of 1 minute, 10.3162 seconds. Driver Scott Dixon was able to edge Team Penske’s Will Power, which was the fastest finishing Chevy.

The 90-lap race will be televised by ABC at 3:30 p.m. (ET).
