While shooting a recent episode of Top Gear Korea starring the Chevy Corvette in the Arizona desert, pilots of an AH1 Cobra chopper equipped with an on-board camera lost control and crashed. Incredibly, both pilots managed to crash into an open piece of land, were treated at the scene and walked away from the scene unharmed — but this footage lived to tell the tale. Watch the raw scene of the crash as the (equally raw) Corvette passes the camera:
In addition, some reports state that the Corvette was supposed to race the chopper… but we have a hard time believing that anyone would be so stupid as to pit the two machines against each other in a race.

Why would it be stupid to race the two? Depending on the helicopter and it’s top cruising speed, the Corvette might just beat it. My dad is a helicopter pilot and owns his own for recreation, it has a cruising speed of 170 mph. In a straight line it should have been a piece of cake.
It’s so cliche! I prefer to race cars… against other cars. The chopper needs to “get up” and accelerate and costs nearly $3 million more. At that point, might as well give your Vette some rocket launchers.
I can’t wait for the next season, the British top gear has too many vehicles featured that aren’t available here and I could care les
Wait, South Korea?
