OnStar FMV Priced At $99.99 Until June 16

Right in time for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and the graduation gift-buying season, OnStar has lowered the price of its aftermarket mirror — OnStar FMV — to $99.99 with installation. After the initial purchase price, the service fee is $299 a year — which is $1.09 a day, less than the cost of coffee at $1.38 a day (according to the 2012 Coffee Business Statistics Report).
As we reported last week, OnStar FMV is most often being installed in new Ford and Toyota vehicles. So the question is, can you afford $99 up front and around $33 a month for the OnStar service, and are you willing to pay?
