Hot Or Not: Two-Tone GMC Sierra

We’ve seen our share of uniquely-painted vehicle in our day, the most distinct of which may just be this Chevy Camaro by Tuscany. But when it comes to trucks, the paint jobs seem to be more conservative… until now.

At first glance, the hue(s) seen on this 2011 GMC Sierra aren’t particularly aggressive… but they’re definitely not traditional, either. What do you think — is this wild orange and white two-tone paint job hot… or not?

Hat tip to Ron C. for the photos.

  2. Looks like a construction company truck. Of everyone currently in the truck game, Ram does two tone the best. Here’s hoping the 2014 GM trucks will have classy two tone colours.

  3. Thant looks horrible. The only two-tone that should ever be on a truck is a different color on the lower-third of the sides, if even that.

  4. I think it would look right at home in a U-Haul store, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  6. Not. Unless this is an ice cream truck, that creamsicle should be reserved for large sedans on 24″s.

  10. Why doesn’t GMC offer Trucks with two-tone paint anymore? That is a big reason why I haven’t bought a new one. My 1995 Had a beautiful Green and Tan combination. I guess cheap looking paint jobs are in style?

  11. I must admit the new look of the Chevy is stunning and GM has finally designed a great looking interior.

I must ask GM will you be upgrading your fleet of engines in the near future.I think the 6 cylinder is a let down when Ford and Dodge are pushing over 300 HP.My father had a 1988 GMC Sierra back in the day and it had around the same amount of Horsepower. The 5.3 is showing its age ….time for more Upgrades GM

  12. Hi Alex,

I was reading your MAY 26, 2012 post and came to realize that it was my truck that was in your post(article). I was hoping if you could contact me as I would like to get more information about when and where you took the photo. I’m the third owner and at the time of your post it was under the previous owner.
Although I’ve made a few changes like a lift kit and big tires. I think it looks better.
Despite everyone’s dislike in the color like jim said beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Although it was a bad paint job (chipping) looking to paint it a different color any recommendations?
