Most of us out there would like to know what it feels like to be an astronaut. Chicks dig astronauts. And while we don’t imagine going to space any time soon, we at least have the chance of owning the car of an astronaut — arguably the most famous astronaut of all, Neil Armstrong.
The owner of the 427 Corvette explains in the eBay listing that he attained the old car from Armstrong, who was the original owner. Admittedly, the car hasn’t been driven since 1981, and its derelict and tired looks were the result of equally poor attention. However, the car remained in a “climate controlled environment”. Regardless, Neil Armstrong.
With a little over three days left on the listing, the current bidding price on the astronomic Corvette is $249,600. What a moon shot.

Why not buy a non famous vette for far less I’m not driving who owned the car before me
Armstrong only owned the car for a year. Some NASA employee bought it when he turned it in for a new one. I remember that being on of the perks of going into space; a new vette every year. That would be nice! Too bad the second owner tried to do some mods to the car. This one is in a very sad state. =(
