Chevrolet would seemingly like us to believe that their entire vehicle fleet is perfect for a sudden zombie apocalypse. And while powerful machines like the Silverado, Suburban and Avalanche need no explanation, little misers like the Cruze need a video proving so. But what about a Chevy Volt? We already know it can hold a gun rack, so that’s a start.
With a total range of 375 miles, it’s overall range isn’t exactly that of a diesel truck, but its ability to be propelled by either petrol or electricity makes it a bit more versatile than the average vehicle. At least it’s better than a mid-1980’s Mazda 323… cleaner, too. With an attractive woman behind the wheel. We’ll pretend not to think about it too much.

Now i want one
I went to Ed Morse Chevrolet in Fort Lauderdale today and had a walkaround and sit-in of the Volt and it’s even more impressive in person. “Starting” it is bizarre. I mean…put your foot on the brake and press the “power” button b y your right knee on the centre console. It’s just bizarre hearing the a/c going, having the power-steering going with no engine hum or buzz. The shut-down is the coolest thing. Push the “power” button again and the dashboard goes dark and there is actually a power-down sound like you would hear from the Millennium Falcon! SWEET! BUT…and there is a but. You guys may recall a debate a few months ago regarding the chrome strip that runs just below the beltline. Some folks were saying that it was crooked. I had a good look. Folks…I am here to confirm that the strip on the left door is not flush with strip that continues on the front left fender. The door’s strip is raised slightly higher than the fender’s. The right side is perfect. I don’t know if that applies to all Volts, but all the pics I saw showed something similar and I have seen it in the flesh. Tsk tsk, GM…
So they used the zombie concept from the Cruze Eco?
Dumb ad when you think about it for half a second.
