Yes, the 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 is being delivered to customers, and Lingenfelter has at least two of them (no. 210 and 224). Featured in the video is both an orange and a yellow ZL1, getting ready for a test on the dynamometer.
If you’re not in the mood for the camera walk around and wanna just skip to the good part, fast forward to around the 1:50 mark, where the engines fire up and the testing gets underway. We could listen to these engines sound off their low and angry calls all day long without ever getting bored of it. And get a load of those vapors kicking out the tailpipes between shifts! If only it were fire.
The tuning company didn’t reveal the dyno numbers on its pair of super ZL1s in the video, but Lingenfelter’s website shows that the packages vary from 630, 650, and even 700+ horsepower. That’s still peanuts considering the 1,200 horsepower Camaro the performance company showed off last year.
