Team Cadillac Widens Point Lead After Grand Prix of Utah

With a pair of top 5 finishes last weekend at the Grand Prix of Utah, Cadillac Racing drivers Johnny O’Connell and Andy Pilgrim have begun to widen their lead on the competition. O’Connell, who finished second behind Porsche’s Patrick Long by 3 seconds, led the first 11 laps before Long overtook him. But with his consistent top 3 finishes, still leads Long and the rest of the World Challenge GT drivers with 501 points. Pilgrim, who finished fourth behind Mike Skeen, is second in the driver’s points with 452.

After four rounds, Cadillac leads Porsche by 2, 32-30 in Manufacturer’s points. Next action for Team Cadillac and the rest of the Pirelli World Challenge Series competitors will be May 10-11, the Cadillac Sports Car Grand Prix at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Calif.

To catch all of the missed action, the Grand Prix of Utah will be telecast on NBC Sports, Sunday, May 27 at 11 p.m. EDT. View live streaming on www.world-challengeTV.com day of races and continuously on demand after races.

  1. Good job, I haven’t watched this race yet, but I’ve seen the TC/TCB race and it was awesome!! It was such good fighting and close finishes. Not to mention that Miller is an awesome track. It makes me wonder, why no Sonic, or even Cruze racing?? Seriously???

    1. There is a Cruze touring car racing team. And it’s very, very, very good.

  3. I was talking about this Series. There is no Cruze in the TC class, and no Sonic in TCB
