Yesterday we posted a video of a Lingenfelter Performance Engineering-tuned Chevy Camaro ZL1 running a 10.79 @ 134 mph quarter-mile, which made it the fastest performance-tuned Gen.V Camaro ZL1… for the time being. Now we’d like to present you a video of the Redline Motorsports Camaro ZL1 racing for the top spot at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida, and getting it.
The time? 10.32 @ 134.7 mph. That’s nearly a full half-second faster than the mighty Lingenfelter.
Redline achieved this feat with the ZL1’s stock 1.9 liter supercharger and catalytic converters. However, major mods included a proprietary camshaft, upper and lower pulleys, headers, improved heat exchanger, cold air intake, performance torque converter and the mandatory Mickey Thompson slicks. Altogether, the Redline ZL1 puts out a crazy 750 horspepower and 700 ft-lbs of torque. That’s 30hp more than the yellow Lingenfelter, and apparently all you need to more closely encroach upon the nine-second mark.
