Over the weekend, the World Touring Car Championship was at the Slovakiaring in Slovakia. And wouldn’t you know it, Chevrolet took home another win. Surprise, surprise! But unlike the previous races, Team Chevy did see some struggle during the event.
For the first race, Rob Huff’s Chevrolet Cruze WTCC car received enough damage to keep him from finishing the race. But it wasn’t terminal, as repairs were made between races. Poetically, Huff came back to win race 2. A similar stroke of bad luck attacked Yvan Muller for the first race, where he finished 11th; Muller then came to finish behind Huff in race 2 for the rebound. Oppositely, Alain Menu finished 3rd in the first but could not finish the second race due to mechanical issues.
After 8 races, Chevrolet leads the manufacturers standings with 337 points, well ahead of SEAT, with 219 and BMW with 208. The Chevy WTCC drivers are also well ahead of the competition in points, with Muller in first with 148, Huff in second with 122, and Menu in third with 121.

How many manufacturers compete in this competition?
right now only the three mentioned but there should be a third to re-enter soon. I do not remember the name though.
