A First Person View Of Racing The Corvette C6.R At Night

It’s always a treat to watch a race happen through the eyes and the ears of the driver. And this video done via a camera on Corvette Racing’s Jordan Taylor’s helmet gives us a look of what it was like to be racing a C6.R during the night of the 12 Hours of Sebring, where Corvette Racing finished second. The noise of the race car is absolutely extreme, and the break-neck pace around the track with nothing but mild headlights really puts into perspective the kind of abilities needed to be a professional racing driver. By the way, Jordan is 20 years old.

  1. Does anyone know what kind of transmission this car uses. It sounds very fast shifting, but maybe not fast enough to be DCT. Any ideas?

    1. It’s a sequential. Specifically, an Xtrac 6-speed sequential.
