Update: the order guide incorrectly stated a horsepower rating for the LFX V6 as 292. This is not the case, as we confirmed with GM Media that the correct number is 301 hp. In addition, the 8-way power passenger seat adjuster is a Denali-specific feature.
For the 2013 model year, the GMC Terrain gets several pleasant updates, including a new V6 engine (the 3.6 liter LFX good for 292 301 horsepower) that replaces the underperforming 3.0 liter LFW, five new colors, an 8-way power passenger seat adjuster, and the addition of the flagship Denali model that has offers exclusive features. In addition, the IntelliLink infotainment system can now be configured with a navigation system, which was not possible for the 2012 model year Terrain. Here are the official changes for 2013:

wait isnt it 301 instead of 292?
Well, that’s the question of the day. The original release for Denali put it at 301. But the RPO sheet makes absolutely no mention of 301… Let me get some clarification from GM.
I received my 2013 Advance Product Info CD yesterday. It shows the 3.6 engine at 301 HP.
That’s the puzzling part. The RPO guides read 301 HP day before yesterday… We reached out to GM for comment.
Wheres the HIDs on Denali? And mirror mounted turn signals? And LED taillamps?
Not part of the highlights guide, but it’s all in there.
PS: we updated the power ratings. 301 is the right number.
Alex,
When do they plan on replacing the 2.4L with the new 2.5L engine for the Terrain (Denali)?
Sometime halfway through 2013 MY…
Sometime halfway through 2013 MY.
Too bad about Mocha Steel, it is a very nice colour.
I just realized that they quit making the steel green metalic after i bought the 2012 with steel green metalic
and why no rear air conditioning??? 🙁
For every Terrain I see on the road I see 5 Equinox (Chicago) 🙂
That’s right about the correct sales distribution across the country.
there will always be more Equinoxes on the road than the Terrains
