Consumer Reports Loves The Chevy Avalanche (With Video)

The Chevrolet Avalanche may be going away with the introduction of the next line of pickups and SUVs, but that’s not because it’s a poor product. In fact, it’s one of the most versatile trucks on the road today, and it’s for this reason that Consumer Reports took the time out of their busy schedule of praising Toyota and Honda to give the Avalanche its due.

All of the vehicle highlights can be observed in the video below, and it’s for those same features that makes this writer want one. Or an Escalade EXT, if the money’s ever there.

  4. CR has lost all credibility when it comes to cars, if you want true unbiased reviews by actual “car guys” head over to motor trend, or autoblog, or automobile magazine, or carscoop, or motor authority or even kbb.

    1. I Do, I just have to think and read the comment slowly, Ill translate the above comment by Miath piece by piece.

“tacking about useless truck what about the ford raptor”

Since Rob is calling the avalanche a useless truck, what about the ford rapter, now thats a useless truck

“what this truck is good for, play in the sand”

The raptor is just good for playing in the sand, meaning offroading, not for anything else.

“the avalanche do more stuff and you dont look stupid in the city.compare to ford raptor”

The avalanche is more practical and you look like you belong in the city, while you look stupid in the city if you drive the ford raptor.

BTW, I dont agree with him, just translating, I live in L.A, and I think the raptor looks pretty cool compared to camrys and bland crossovers. The avalance is more practical though.

  8. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think since the redesign in 07 this is one of the more handsome trucks on the road and I don’t know of anyone who has bought one that wants to get rid of it for something else. Yeah, in the end it won me over too and I drive one now. When it is polished up it is hard to find a truck that, on looks alone, looks better.
