Following the cadence of an updated 2013 GMC Acadia/Acadia Denali, and the 2013 Buick Enclave, the Chevrolet Traverse will also receive an update for the 2013 model year. If it’s anything like what we saw in the Acadia at Chicago, expect fresh sheet metal, a more refined interior, Chevy MyLink, and an industry-first front center air bag.
The 3.6L V6 powertrain is expected to stay as the Lambda II-based crossover’s only engine offering, but it should be joined by a newer, smoother transmission — just like the new Acadia. On the flip side, the rest of the world outside of North America will begin receiving a diesel-powered SUV that is the new TrailBlazer.
In addition to the new Impala and Traverse, Chevrolet plans on displaying the Malibu Eco, Spark, the Tru 140S and Code 130R concept vehicles and Corvette 427 Convertible complete with the 60th Anniversary Edition package.

Sweet, let’s hope it’s the upgrade we are hoping for..,
wooo new color schemes!!! but then how come the air vents on the right side looks like the ones from acadia?
They still won’t put the navigation screen at an appropriate height. The Tahoe has the same problem, it’s way too low you have to look down too far to use it while driving.
I was expecting more of a change after seeing the Acadia update. The new Traverse looks quite a bit better over all inside and out than the older version. The current Traverse the front looks good but my wife and I couldn’t get over that ugly rear on it. I almost bought an LTZ with diamond tricoat as it was a good deal but as they say “dat ass” was ugly. Enclave my wife thought could use some work on the outside as well. There was a slightly used CXL2 with all options and around 5k miles on it (4 year warranty on the buick) but she preferred the Acadia. The Acadia we both agreed looked the best of the bunch so we picked up a white diamond loaded version of that unit instead. This new traverse though looks pretty good inside and out and I don’t know if we would go with an Acadia again after seeing the update. Bought my 2012 a couple months ago so hopefully the Acadia gets an update or slight change before my three years is up. Can’t wait to see what the Enclave looks like.
Oh and about the HID lamps not being an option until you get up around 40k I think it’s retarded. I can pick up a cheap honda(overpriced) hyundai kia or toyota(overpriced) ute with plenty of options for under 30k. Hell the crappy korean suvs have turn lamps on the side mirrors even. The four year warranty on the Buick should be extended to anything over 30k GM makes imo.
Just don’t make the Buick lines as ugly as the caddy lines please!
