If you didn’t see the similarities between the 2013 GMC Acadia and the defunct Saturn Outlook before, you do now. There’s no excuse not to after this. GM, we see what you did there.

…and the Captiva is a Vue, and…hmmm, history repeating itself, or going backwards? I can’t help but have this feeling of “Deja Moo”…that I’ve heard/seen this bull crap before.
Apparently refresh means revert in GM’s mind…if so…go back the the muscle cars of the ’50’s-’75
“if so…go back the the muscle cars of the ’50′s-’75”
In compairson to what we have today? LS powered anythings that are more powerful, more reliable, more fuel effiecent than anything ever before.
Graw, I think Michael was referring to styling moreso than technology.
It would be interesting to see a modern interpretation of the 57-59 GMC’s
I like it. The window fits in better with gmc traditions in its terrain and Yukon.
I don’t mind it either. The design just works on the refreshed Acadia… I don’t think it was a case of “Hey, look at all these Outlook parts we have lying around. Let’s use them.”
It was a good design on the Outlook and it’s an improved design on the Acadia.
Yea, I have no problem with it, in fact I would be happy if GM found smart ways to save money without detracting from a car’s quality/merits.
The outlook sold poorly so it never had much exposure to customers and I doubt and non-enthusiast will ever notice the similarity.
I don’t have a problem with them employing a good design, but I think some stylistic/aesthetic changes would help the design flow well from front to back. Looking at the front and then the back, and they don’t look like the same vehicle to me.
Honestly, I think they were a bit lazy (or rushed to get it to show) in not adding some type of cohesive style to match the look of the front.
Nice, But tone down the grille
can you actually roll down the front window and easily put your arm out the window for those great sunny day drives? I drove a new 2013 explorer and my husband is 6’6″ and could not comfortably put his arm out the window? Really where is the design team?
