The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration has launched an investigation into Chevrolet TrailBlazers built between the 2006 and 2007 model years due to malfunctions of the driver’s side master power window switch. The investigation was launched based on 12 consumer complaints noting melting or burning of said driver’s side power window switch. This led to the burning of plastic door panels, resulting in fires while the vehicle was in operation or unattended.
At this time, it’s unclear whether NHTSA will expand the investigation to 2006-2007 GMC Envoys, but we imagine the same complaints could be found about the TrailBlazer’s sister car as well.
