Exactly what I have come to expect from GMA, excellent video, good job showcasing the concepts that GM says they might develop only to say they will indeed develop but then 2 years later change there mind… Thanks GMA, thanks for getting us stoked for something that will never exist, thank you GM.
Thanks for the enthusiasm Yaba.
That Hot Wheels car has a sweet paint job. Ford was developing a chrome paint for production, is GM looking to offer a new premium paint for those of us that are bored with White Diamond?
What happened to the Impale? I had thought there was going to be a concept previewing the 2014 model.
Problem, Impala fans?
*insert troll face here*
EJD1984- exactly……,.,
I don’t remember writing that up…
With the redesign due so quickly I think it was just expected. I was surprised as well that the Impala wasn’t there.
There’s still Chicago and New York to go.
Rob- don’t get me wrong both of the concepts are smokin hot, and a no brainer to build, my question why don’t they develop a car that has gone through some focus groups is closer to production and get us excited and bring to market in a year time frame, cut the smoke and mirrors.
No good answers on that from here. I don’t know why. Thankfully I DON’T have to run a global marketing strategy. It’s way easier to pontificate than to produce.
Impale/impala all the same ha… Just caught that.
I had heard or read the same thing but Impala wasn’t specified but more on a “Mid Sized” Chevy concept with people expecting a Impala replacement like a G8 version or maybe something completely new. Didn’t see it here at GMA but it might have been Chevy Hardcore,Super Chevy,GM Inside News, or even Autoweek or a dozen other car websites covering the Auto shows. Reason so many were disappointed in more compact 4 banger tooner car concepts. I have my doubts there replacement will be very ground breaking or exciting anyway. But we keep hoping for things they will probably never produce just because we want it! That much is true!
Seems like a waste of time to put so much money into creating a concept car just for a pony show. Look what the volt started as, a cool concept car and turned into a family sedan.
