Here at GM Authority, we are huge advocates of performance, except for when we aren’t. But when it comes to Corvettes and quarter-mile times, we’re all about it times infinity. So when we found a video titled “World’s Fastest Corvette ZR1”, our eyebrows raised, and we scoffed at such a claim. But with a power rating of 1,500 hp, and a quarter-mile time of just 9.68 seconds, it could very well be the fastest road-legal ZR1 that we know of. Oh, and it also hit 236 mph at the Texas Mile. That’s what happens when you twin turbo a 440 cubic inch V8.

Wow! Look at how quickly those needles bounce!
147 mph in the 1/4 mile if it weight is 3500 lbs that is only 867 horse pressure . They must use the FORD system to measure the power.
The Cobra Jet is a full second faster, and that’s a little embarassing.
And the fastest COPO Camaro is half a second faster than the fastest Cobrajet even tho the cobrajet has more displacement
Wow. I should get mine to the track since I can easily hit 95 half way down the freeway ramp next to my house. I have seen faster times for a Vette and definitely faster track times from other “street legal” cars. I seriously question the claim of 1,500 hp.
