Track Santa Through OnStar

It’s hard to get into the Christmas spirit up here in southeastern Michigan with the current state of weather outside. No snow, and it’s pretty certain that the grass is greener today than it was in October. Needless to say, things are a tad out of whack, but OnStar is looking to end the Grinchiness with a little fun.
Starting on Christmas Eve at 7 a.m. EST, all OnStar subscribers (including FMV owners) can request a “Santa Update” by pushing their blue button, where Onstar advisers will pinpoint Santa’s location until 5 a.m. Christmas morning. This is made possible by partnering with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
NORAD utilizes geo-synchronous satellites with infrared sensors and other fancy tech to monitor Santa’s Christmas Eve travels in order to relay his location to the world. Hey, if the United States Congress possesses the mentality to declare pizza a vegetable, then it should only make sense that it funds an organization seemingly dedicated to tracking Santa Claus.
