Cadillac has released its third installment of “The Journey,” which showcases the development of the first-ever ATS compact sport sedan. The development team spent weeks in Germany, fine-tuning the vehicle around the world-renown Nürburgring Nordschleife (North Loop) race track.
As Energy and Powertrain Integration Engineer Dave Mikels points out in the video, there’s not a facility in the world that can replicate the extreme conditions of the ‘Ring. After this, we’re left impatiently waiting for the reveal of the machine. And considering all of the hype and anticipation, it better not disappoint.

I keep having dreams about this car. Something tells me it might “accidentally” leak earlier than the design studio debut!
The interior may disappoint Road and Track, and the base engine may disappoint Hot Rod, but I doubt the chassis will disappont annybody, GM has too many verry good and dedicated engineers involved for that.
I just know the ATS will make GM faithfull proud.
