OnStar’s RemoteLink app for iOS and Android devices is nothing short of useful (and plain cool). Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with all GM models due to inconsistencies of the OnStar hardware in the vehicles themselves. In light of this, we’ve compiled this compatibility list — which we will update on a regular basis.

When will remote link for my 2007 STS4 (with additional V package – $91,875 less PDI) be available, and should I wait or purchase the suggested alternative app now? Thanks
@Bryon This is going to be difficult to hear, but RemoteLink will never work with your STS. Yours, I believe has gen 7 hardware (or maybe gen. 8), which isn’t compatible with the app. It’s s shame, especially given the fact that you have a nearly $100,000+ car. But RemoteLink wasn’t even being thought of when the STS was being designed and engineered. If I were you, I would look at something like Drone Mobile: http://gmauthority.com/blog/2011/12/onstar-remotelink-alternative/
I used the remote link in December for my 2009 GMC Acadia right after I bought it and now come one month later I can’t log in anymore and it says my vehicle is currently not supported. What gives? New year so now that my vehicle is another year model older I can’t use the app anymore? I’m in Alaska and a remote start is a big plus up here app would have helped the not so far reach of my key remote start.
I second that. I just bought a 2013 Grand Sport. No OnStar Remote Link app support. And no mp3 from bluetooth device (Phone) support. I suppose I’ll just disable the dual mode exhaust, who needs a radio!
Seriously upset the the remote start on my onstar app will not work with my 2013 traverse. Will not be purchasing another GM vehicle in the future. Also will be canceling my onstar subscription. I’ve complained I Onstar complained to GM and complained to the Dealer. Still not popping up on my app.
I want to know why my 2010 Camaro isn’t compatable? What would be the reason. Is it ever gonna be compatable? I have an onstar acct, and an automatic withdrawl in my bank for this service. I don’t think anyone is ever going to steal my car. I pay approx 20$ a month. The remote link should work, don’t you think? I am paying a pretty penny for the service!
My 2009 G8 GT recently had a onstar hardware upgrade to give it 4G and wifi capability. Onstar still says that it is not compatible with the remote link app, can you explain why this is and if I could expect compatibility at some future time. I should mention that I live in Canada. Thanks

Why no Corvette?
When will my 2010 Cadillac CTS be capatible with onstar remotelink

2010 Terrain? When will it be added to the “working” list for remote link?
Are you working on a mylink app for 2009 lucerne?
Recently purchased a 2012 Malibu and the Remote Start feature is unavaliable 🙁
I also just purchased a 2012 chevy malibu today and I agree that the lack of the remote start really stinks.
Will The 2010 Camaro ever get remote link?
I am very disapointed my 2012 Chevy Colorado does not support onstar remote through my droid bionic.
Why not 2009 silverado? Is it a Gen 8?
In “light” of this, not in lieu of this. In lieu of this means instead of this.
Doug — thanks bud; fixed 🙂
I drive a 2009 Traverse. Will it be added to the App? Please please please
I have a 2009 Cadillac Escalade, will RemoteLink work for it in the future?

How about the 2010 SRX SUV remote link. Will the remote link work in the future
Wondering when 2010 Silverado 1500 will be compatible with remote link?

Its says my 2010 DTS is compatible but when I try to log on the app, its say’s I don’t have a supported vehicle. Why is that??

Why not compatible with the grand prix
Too bad it doesn’t work on all GM vehicles that you are paying On Star. I have a 2007 Trailblazer.
So no 09 G5?
Any such upgrade for 2012 chevy colorado
Afraid not Steve. It’s a shame. A retrofit kit would be welcomed my many.

Wish it was compatible with my G6
