GM Hires Consulting Firm To “Streamline” White Collar Jobs

It’s the holiday season, and nobody should be at risk of losing their job this time of year. But things at General Motors look a tad shaky for a handful of white collar workers working at the Renaissance Center. The  company is looking to make some cuts, but it doesn’t seem exactly sure on where to start.

That being the case, it has called upon the Hackett Group, a Miami-based consulting firm along with several other agencies to help figure out where exactly the company should make the cuts. The departments under evaluation are engineering, finance, marketing, information technology and product development. GM could make the cuts as soon as the summertime.

    1. Not in GM’s world. I’ve seen them spend dollars to save dimes. I love this company and need it to survive but they have a tendency to shoot themselves in the foot.
