GM Admits It Won’t Meet 10,000-Unit 2011 Sales Goal For Chevrolet Volt

With a month left to go in 2011, exactly 6,142 Chevy Volts have been spoken for. To say that GM will find a way to sell roughly 4,000 more copies through the month of December to meet its 10,000-unit projection for the year would be outlandish, to say the least. GM CEO Dan Akerson even admitted to it, but nobody who has been paying attention would call the Volt a flop. It is just becoming available across the U.S., believe it or not.
Our crystal ball tells us that sales figures will grow in 2012, that is if some sort of stop sale doesn’t occur from the ongoing battery pack fire investigation.
