It’s not every day that General Motors allows cameras into its Advanced Design Center located in a “secret” location in North Hollywood, California. But if a high-profile car buff show such as Jay Leno’s Garage wants to make a video, then things are a little different. To make things even better, the video features GM global design chief Ed Weblurn and the fantastic Cadillac Ciel Concept. The video runs nearly nine minutes and is a deep dive into everything that went into the design and development of the vehicle.

We were discussing at the link above that Caddy (and really, the industry in general) needs to either rediscover the formal roofline or fully embrace the hatchback.
The sleek, sloping roofline/separate trunk lid with most of the space under the parcel shelf is a pain to live with on a day-to-day basis.
