Drunk 21 Year-Old Crashes Chevy Camaro Into Mobile DUI Checkpoint

Closing down a bar after drinking down a few too many Jaeger-bombs can only be considered a good idea if there’s a designated driver involved. Otherwise, things like this happen. 21 year-old Shane Southard found himself in trouble when he rammed his ’89 Chevy Camaro into a mobile DUI checkpoint at 45 mph. The mobile unit had eight people inside at the time, including several police officers.

They promptly cited Southard with a DWI, driving while license is revoked, careless and reckless driving, no insurance, revoked registration, failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision, out-of-date inspection and no seatbelt. We’re just glad nobody was killed here. And let it be a tale of caution for everyone else.
